The operational log kept for RADM Ghormley describes the Guadalcanal Operation, 1 August-13 November 1942; correspondence includes a copy of a letter from Ghormley on the value of the log, 22 July 1943; copy of a letter of ADM R.K. Turner on joint efforts in WWII. Newspaper clippings, 1969, mark the 25th Anniversary of the Saipan invasion, plus one from 1971 regarding Weaver's retirement.
